How does SkedCore connect to my bank?

We use Plaid, a trusted third‑party service that lets you securely connect your bank accounts without sharing your credentials with us. Plaid supports thousands of banks and credit unions. If your institution isn’t supported, you can still add accounts manually.

Is my financial data safe?

Yes. We never store your banking login details and all data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Our Plaid integration meets strict industry standards. You are always in control of your information and can revoke access at any time.

Can I really use SkedCore for free?

Absolutely. The Free plan gives you unlimited manual accounts, scheduled payments, cash‑flow projection and debt tracking at no cost. You can upgrade to unlock bank sync, budgets and other advanced tools whenever you’re ready.

What if my bank isn’t available through Plaid?

You can always add accounts manually. We’re continually expanding coverage through Plaid and will let you know as soon as your institution is supported. In the meantime, manual accounts provide the same projections and scheduling features.

When will budgeting and smart categorisation be available?

Those features are on our roadmap for version 1.0. We’re actively developing budgeting by category, rule‑based and machine‑learning categorisation, and we plan to roll them out soon. Sign up for SkedCore to get early access when they launch.

Can I import data from Mint or other apps?

We know switching tools can be tough, which is why we’re building a CSV importer specifically for Mint exports. Look for this feature as part of our upcoming releases. Until then, you can manually recreate accounts and import scheduled payments.

How often does SkedCore update my balances and projections?

Our cloud functions run daily to process scheduled payments, sync your accounts and recalculate your forward‑looking cash flow. You can also manually refresh your synced accounts at any time to see the latest information.

How do scheduled payments work?

You can add a scheduled payment for any recurring income or expense. Simply choose the account, amount, frequency and next due date. SkedCore will automatically include it in your projections and create mirror entries when necessary. You can edit or cancel schedules whenever you need.
